Through traditional distribution there might be as many as 4 or 5 people/companies a product will go through adding as much as 80% or more to the cost of the product before it gets to you!

Some manufacturers will provide special pricing to move inventory quickly in the form of a flash sale. Sometimes manufacturers are updating their product labels and need to move out inventory quickly to make room for the new.
Other reasons could include items that are being discontinued, are nearing expiration dates, or just need to move inventory quickly for any particular internal reason.
